Participation at the international Annual Congress on Plant Science & Biosecurity

Jul 12 – 14, 2018, Valencia, Spain

On July 12-14th Hana Malinska brought poster presentation about stress tolerance in Miscanthus x giganteus grown in polluted soil to the International Annual Congress on Plant Science & Biosecurity. She presented the first results of research about fitness of plants grown in polluted soil that mimics situation at former military airport „Hradcany“ Czech republic.

Putting together all data from soil composition, biomass yield, stress response and genetic analysis provided by entire UJEP NATO team, she stressed importance of genotypisation of different cultivars, since recent results show strong influence of genotype to fitness of the individual as well as to biomass production.

Informal discussions during this conference brings possible cooperation from abroad…
