Seminar “Agricultural residues for bioenergy production: problems and solutions”, Kyiv, Ukraine

On September, 27th, 2018 Dr. Tatyana Stefanovska and PhD student Artem Medkov (NULES, Ukraine) participated in the international seminar “Agricultural residues for bioenergy production: problems and solutions”. The event was organized in Kyiv, Ukraine by International Biomass Association and Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Ukraine. Training was attended by 90 participants.  Among the presenters well-recognized international experts in aspects of energy production from various agro-residues were invited from USA, Italy, Netherlands, Germany.   Tatyana Stefanovska and Artem Medkov were trained in sustainable using of crop residues by conversion to energy combined with avoiding of soil carbon loss and soil fertility deterioration. While at the interactive seminar part they had a chance to communicate directly with technical experts.  They also   had several discussions with decision makers and end-users regarding future partnerships.  Tatyana Stefаnovska had a minutes with journalist from Ukrainian magazine “Ecology of Enterprise” Ms. Luidmila Tsyganok and presented to her NATO G4687 project activities in Ukraine.
