Participation in the 6th TRANS³Net.visit within Interreg Central Europe project

On February 14, the 6th TRANS³Net.visit within Interreg Central Europe project  ( took place in Freiberg/ Saxony, Germany and was attended by prof. Valentina Pidlisnyuk and PhD student Jan Cerny, UJEP. The meeting was held at   Helmholtz Institute Freiberg for Resource Technology (HIF) and organized  in cooperation with company UVR Fia GmbH. The event was focused at the  energy efficient technologies for the exploration, beneficiation, extraction, and recycling of strategic minerals and metals  icluding those from industrially polluted sites and waste and to present those technologies for scientists, SMEs and transfer promotors from Saxony, Czech Republic and Poland who are aiming to implement the  circular economy principles. Dr. Jens Gutzmer, Direсtor of Helmholz Institute Freiberg, presented the main research  field of the institute along with brief overview of the  Saxon–Czech project RECOMINE. Dr. Henning Morgenroth,managing Director of UVR-FIA GmbH, introduced the achievements in utilization of metals from the mining rock waste. Dr. Grit Krause-Juttler, Centre for production Englineering and Management,  Drezden Technical University presented the direction of the potential cooperation in the raw materials sector in the transboudary region.  NDP  professor Valentina Pidlisnyuk and PhD Jan Cerny, UJEP  introduced for the participants the current results of G4687 project related to the biomass production at the   metals contaminated military fields which are under investigation of G4687 project. The potential cooperation with RECOMINE project  can be about application of phytotechnology with miscanthus at the Freiberg metals’ contented site selected among research locations to be investigated. Prof. Pidlisnyuk and PhD student Cerny had a  discussions related to the project  with Ms. Simone Raatz and Tina Schulz ( both – Helmholz Institute Freiberg).   The  meeting was followed by the round tour to UVR-FIA GmbH.
