On April 14, 2020 PhD student in Soil and Environmental Chemistry, KSU, USA Zafer Alasmary successfully defended Ph.D. thesis «Laboratory- to field-scale investigations to evaluate phosphate amendments and miscanthus for phytostabilization of lead-contaminated military sites“. The PhD study was advised by prof. Ganga Hettiararchi and was a part of NATO SPS MYP project related to the phytoremediation research at the military site in Ft.Riley, USA.
The defense was done via Zoom and 18 faculty members and invited guests participated in the event. After the presentation lasting about 40 minutes and illustrated by 63 PP slides Zafer Alasmary answered for questions from members of the Scientific Committee and invited guests.
It is planned to summarized the data presented at PhD thesis in IF publications to be a part of the NATO G4687 Interim and Final Reports.
