Research of KSU team at Argonne National Laboratory, Argonne, IL, USA

On March 11-14, 2020 Prof. Hettiarachchi along with PhD student Zafer Alasmary and Chandima Wekumbura (Ph.D. student in Prof. Hettiarachchi’s group) conducted X-ray Absorption Spectroscopy (XAS) research at the Advanced Photon Source, Argonne National Laboratory, Argonne, IL, the USA. They had three days to collect XAS data to understand soil lead speciation changes upon Miscanthus growth and soil amendments overtime in Fort Riley field study and incubation study samples.
